Moderate rubbing with a few scuffs, nicks and scratches to boards, rubbing to extremities, light gatoring and spotting to spine, which is slightly faded and detaching, boards detached but secured by cords, corners bumped and somewhat worn, faint offsetting to preliminaries and dampspotting to top-edge of text block. First published in 1802, it was the first English treatise devoted exclusively to the law of shipping.
