Blue hardcover with title in gilt on spine and blindstamped on front cover. Condition: Good, with general light shelfwear to covers. Light browning to endpapers. Binding sound. The front endpaper bears the signature of Eustace Bowles, (Eustace Parker Bowles) linked through his wife's family to the horticulturist E A Bowles of Myddelton House. 500pp. Many b/w photographic plates. This book was compiled by the author with advice from Gertrude Jekyll and W.J.Bean amongst others..
