Lightly rubbed at the corners of the dustjacket with a small chip from the upper spine; also, a small nick on the upper edge of the rear panel; bookseller's logo at the bottom of the front free end paper; no other interior markings. Cover art by Marriott. There were two men on duty in the lonely lighthouse off the coast of France when an oil tanker was wrecked on the nearby rocks, and the most uncanny storm came up suddenly. It was Christmas, and this was to prove the strangest Christmas that any of them had ever spent....
