first edition, octavo, 88 page pamphlet, retains front wrapper, ex-library, blindstamp on front wrap, removed from bound volume of pamphlets, else a good copy.

Tallmadge, superintendent of New York City Police was charged with neglecting his duty. He was charged with failing to respond to the Quarantine Station, located on Staten Island, when it and several buildings had been set ablaze by a mob. Tallmadge was restored to duty after being cleared of one charge against him and censured for another.
