[10], 3-389, [3] pp. Quarter red cloth over grey paper boards with gold lettering on the spine. Price of $23.99 on front flap of dust jacket. Illustrated with a double-page map and a few in-text drawings by David Elliot. A small strain to the front gutter, overall binding tight and square.

There are not very many stories that have both a female hero AND a female villian. This is a great book but it marks a turning point for the series. I feel the Redwall books went down in quality after this one.
