About This Item
New York: Street & Smith, 1899. Will Comfort (1878-1932) served in the cavalry during the Spanish American War. This is his first published work; later he wrote adventure novels, some of which were made into movies. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition, presented in a nice decorative binding. Tan cloth, with the figure of a soldier blowing a bugle. Stamping is filled in black and gilt. Clean text; 248 pages, with two pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. Light wear at the margins; spine a bit faded; front hinge has cracked but is holding nicely. No dustjacket. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket.
