New York: MacMillan, 1925. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. First Edition, published September, 1925, SIGNED by author, in clean illustrated dust jacket. Red cloth boards with blind-embossed lettering on cover, gold lettering on spine. No fraying or wear-through. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Signed "Best Wishes of E. R. Eastman" in a bold hand on front free endpaper. Previous owner name at top edge of same page. Pages are clean. 315 pages. Clean jacket is second state, with image of State of New York and adjoining states on cover (rather than a burning barn), very nice condition, now enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A novel focusing on the milk strike in New York State in 1916 which resulted in the formation of the Dairymen's League. The author succeeds admirably in showing the real importance and significance of the co-operative movement in the Dairymen's League fight for fair prices..
