About This Item
Princeton, NJ:: Bloomberg Press,, 2003.. SIGNED hardcover first edition -. SIGNED by the author and uncommon thus. Very good in a very good dustjacket (a tight copy, but some bleeding from the cloth to the upper edge of the dj and the upper gutter on the rear endpaper.). First printing. A business book with an important difference. Dolan, a 4th generation winemaker and current President of Fetzer Vineyards in California, talks about the importance of 'sustainability' in business: a simple example which he gives is that the price of gasoline is not just what you pay at the pump; it is also the depletion of resources, the increased pollution and all of the other effects of depleting the earth. Interesting both for its account of the changes at Fetzer vineyards and for in California viniculture in general and for its vision of the future of business. Illustrations, index. 207 pp plus list of illustrations. Several pages of praise for the concepts in this book -from such varied authors and businessmen as Paul Hawken, Yvon Chouinard, Arnold S. Hiatt and others - precede the text.
