About This Item
New York: Reynal & Hitchcock, (1946). First edition of the author's first novel. Although not indicated as such in the book, this copy is from the collection of sportswriter Paul "Dr. Z" Zimmerman and has what we imagine are burn marks from the ashes of his cigar. About very good with few small burn marks to cover and one to front pastedown. In good or better dust jacket with touch of rubbing to front panel affecting a few title letters, shallow chipping mostly to the spine ends, and small internal tape repair. Scarce.
