Previous owner name underneath front fold over flap on front paste down. Bookseller sticker at bottom righthand corner of same. Aged Hanning of the page edges, light bumping off the corners. Illustrated dust jacket. Very chipped, with some loss, and several shortish tears to this price clipped dust jacket illustrated by Pooley. "The conventional words of the King's commission had a real meaning when applied to William Harness. This selection of letters made by his great-great-great niece shows that he was an efficient and trustworthy officer and was loved both by his family and by those who served with him.
