About This Item

Archontologia Cosmica., 1649. A pretty view of the Swiss city of Zug ('Tugium' being its Latin name). At the top, to the left of the title, is a coat of arms. Four principle landmarks within the town are picked out with numbers - a key listing them in the bottom right corner. Along the bottom of the view is the lake of Zugersee with ships sailing on it. Copper engraving. Uncoloured. In very good condition. Size: 320 x 210 mm. (12½ x 8½ inches)
