Spine lightly bumped, hinges good. Laid-on, colour-plate illustration, foredge corners mildly bumped, worn and marked, else green boards undamaged. With an untrimmed foredge and foot, textblock randomly splotched and specked throughout. No dustjacket. Claimed by the Editor, R. Hooper Pearson, this title 'Tulips' is the 'first book on the tulip to be published in English', with the author 'having to contend with the usual difficulties of the pioneer'. Volume 14 in the 'Present -Day Gardening' series, contents include: Prelims., Preface. Introduction. 22 chapters. Index. Book weight approx. 355g. . First Edition. Hardcover.
