The spine & the top edges of the covers are slightly darkened and the head of the spine is lightly chipped. 160 & [2] pages. 16 pages of black-and-white photographic illustrations with a folding black-and-white map in the rear. The gutter are darkened. The pages are toned and there is some staining to the fore-edge & to page 145. Good. <p>First edition.<p>There is a lengthy inscription by the author on the dedication page signed "Magnus" and dated "Oslo 20/XII 1946."<p>Giaver arranged hunting trips to the Arctic. This book includes material on the same expedition as Max C. Fleischmann's classic book "After Big Game in the Arctic and Tropic", published by the Jennings and Graham Press in 1909.<p>The text is in Norwegian.
