Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1883. First edition thus. Hardcover. Very good. Reid, George. 4to, cloth covered boards somewhat darkened with age, paper title label on spine. Corners bumped. Upper edge gilt. 115pp with 12 pages of tissue guarded plates of castles, cathedrals etc found along the railway. The descriptions cover the historical sites, with the history etc., as well as the scenery. Ex reference library with pictorial bookplate on rear pastedown and handwritten number on reverse of title page. No other obvious library markings.
