New York: International Book Company, 1891. Later Edition. Very Good. Later edition. 336 pp. Bound in publisher's original clay stamped cloth with spine lettered in gilt. Very Good with light wear to extremities, minor fraying to tail of spine. Tape ghosts to cloth near foot and on front and rear free endpapers. Small nick to edge of title page. Contents lightly toned with a few ink splotches throughout, rear hinge splitting with old hand "20" written at top edge of pastedown. A late 19th-century edition of the ex-slave's narrative in lovely condition.
