About This Item

Auburn: Derby and Miller, 1854. 1st Edition . Hardcover. First edition, early printing. Published in 1854--one year after the first printing--with "Twentieth Thousand" at top of title page. Very good with minor professional repair to spine ends and interior hinges. Binding firm, with all seven full-page illustrations intact and in nice shape. Some foxing and soiling to pages (inevitable with this title) but overall a very attractive copy of this important book. Basis for the film of the same name that won the 2014 Academy Award for Best Picture.
