Slight fraying of spine extremities. Front free endpaper loosened and laid-in. A clean and crisp copy. Chapters on the packing industry, various animal in the stock yards, Biographicala sketches and photographs of many of the early traders. A very scarce book on the history of the Kansas City stockyards and its inhabitants, man and animal. 340pp. + 5 pages of adverts at conclusion. Cited in Howes P-523 and Herd 1827.. First Edition, Second Issue. Black Blind-stamped Cloth.. Light Wear/No Dust Jacket. Octavo.
