London: James Nisbet Black titles with coloured ship pictorials to spine and front on red cloth boards. Boards have some light marks to back else unmarked with no wear. Internally there is a coloured decorative prize bookplate to front pastedown and foxing to closed edges and sporadic foxing to some page edges else clean, tight and unmarked. Not dated nor edition stated but probably a late 1890's edition of the work first published in 1885. 256 pages and 16 page publisher's catalogue. 30 illustrations by M. Dudley. One of Robert Michael Ballantyne's (1825-1894) scarcer novels. An attractive copy in very good condition. A1B. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Dudley, M. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
