London: The Fortune Press , 1928. The first book illustrated by Cecil Beaton. This is an unnumbered copy of the edition of 1200 copies printed on handmade paper. It appears to be publishers file copy bount in Black Buckrum and slightly over sized. Original DJ is smaller though untrimmed with pencil notes on verso for release dates of various Fortune Press titles. CONDITION Top cnrs bumped, front free end page has been neatly trimmed out, with 5 illus plates with clean tissue guards. Original DJ is toned to edges with teats at spine heel and wear at tips, no loss.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Illus. by Cecil Beaton . 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
