The cover is a felt like paper that is fragile and outer edge has cracks and breaks. Attached with string and string is in good condition.Introduction on Title Page: Beaten Biscuit by Howard Weeden, Huntsville Ala, from 'Bandana Ballads.' Pages browning due to age and there is some water staining to first few pages. The first 8-10 pages are cracking at hinge area. These are early 20th century receipes from members of the Whatsoever Circle King's Daughters club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Receipe for "deviled brains", pepper and cheese salad, gumbos, Chow Chow,sardine sandwich, and many more. Book now in archival sleeve to protect condition.Very Rare original edition with string.
