Garden City, NY ( New York ): Garden City, N.Y./ New York: Doubleday, 1979 ( actually 1984 ) and 1978, Book Club Edition - 1st Collected Edition, Later and First Printing, 1984. ------------( Later and 1st printing of the First COLLECTED / OMNIBUS Edition ) ---2 volumes, hardcovers, both are Very Good+ examples, a bit of rubbing to tips and edges of boards, faint glue residue patch on verso of front board of volume one, both in attractive Good / Very Good dustjackets, some shallow chips and tears, a bit of sunning to the spine of book one , ---BOOK ONE has been SIGNED without inscription by ROGER ZELAZNY, ---these are the 1st COLLECTED HARDCOVER editions ( volume ONE contains books 1 and 2 and volume TWO contains books 3, 4 & 5 of the AMBER series ), there were two issues of volume ONE in the BOOK CLUB EDITION, one in 1979 and one in 1989, the 1989 issue has an ISBN, the 1979 issue does not have an ISBN, this is the 1979 issue, gutter code at rear of book indicates that this is a later printing of that 1979 issue ( 032 gutter code is NOT listed on the ISFDB website and indicates that this was issued in 1984), ---a scarce volume to be signed and likely the only way for the collector to get a signed hardcover of NINE PRINCES as the DOUBLEDAY 1st edition is out of most collector's reach, volume two is the 1st printing with gutter code i51 ( December 1978 ), both books are in uniform format and size, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// SIGNED (volume one is signed / volume two is NOT signed) ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)--.
