London: The Syndicate of the Cambridge University Press, 1949. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The front hinge is exposed, though this has no effect on the binding. There is also a neat ownership signature on the front end paper. A clean copy in solid binding with no inner markings. Includes fold out map. Major Harold William "Bill" Tilman, CBE, DSO, MC and Bar, [ 1898 - 1977) was an English mountaineer and explorer, renowned for his Himalayan climbs and sailing voyages.
