About This Item

New York, NY, 1949. Single sheet. 28 x 21.5 cm. Typed letter, signed; folded three times. Light wrinkling to head of sheet; two narrow creases to upper and lower corners of paper. A short letter to Ruth Morton in regards to her letter to Gallico about his story "The Dowry". Gallico jokes that "at last somebody has reacted to The Dowry", and says that at the end of the year he will quit his newspaper job to go "abroad for a year to hide out and write fiction." A whimsical piece of ephemera from the author of "The Snow Goose".. Signed by Author. Letter. Very Good.
