The book and jacket are in Good Plus (or better) condition for the following reasons: dj is glued to a protector and to the rear board of the book (see pic), and; PO inscription on a leading page. Otherwise, this copy presents very well indeed. An interesting true war story about a U Boat that torpedoes a passenger ship and then decides it must organize a rescue operation to save all of the people! B&W photos throughout.

Black and white photographic plates throughout. Light foxing and tanning to pages, text block edges and free endpapers. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild sunning and scuffing overall. Spine has light sunning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Moderate tanning and foxing to inside panels.
