Six striking linocuts by the Romanian expressionist artist, a survivor of the Holocaust, Aurel Marculescu (1900-1947). Each image is titled on the opposite page (in Romanian): Ghetto, Talmudist, Singer of Sadness, Menachem Mendel, After Preyer, and Sukkot. The preface was written by Scarlat Callimachi (1896-1975) the leftist, futurist poet.
