This is the first exhibition devoted to the faience produced in Tours at this period for more than 50 years. Over 150 pieces are assembled, lent by prominent French and European collections, they include masterpieces by Avisseau (1791-1865) whose work inspired countless imitators and was widely thought to be the successor to Palissy.
