Bristol: Bristol Times and Mirror, St Stephen Street, Bristol.. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1943. Second Edition. Paperback. Small wartime booklet published by a member of the Council of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce - Mr. Samuel J. King. A previous booklet was published withthe third language being German - but in this one "...the happy idea of the substitution of Italian for German...will ensure for it a greater sphere of usefulness now the language of our Italian Ally has been included". No date but mentioon of our Italian ally = 1943 or later. Blue card covers printed in black - stapled - staples rusting and bleeding inside but holding firm - fading to the spine. On the reverse of the front cover are little pictures of Semaphore Signals and on the rear cover Flashing signals in Morse = The Morse Alphabet and Numerals. 16 pp. Inside a very small dictionary selection of English to French to Italian phrases - including the Military ones at the end with phrases in French like "I am wounded"; "broken limb"; Barracks; Howitzer; Bayonet; Map etc, etc. A curious little vintage wartime item - See Images. ; 32mo 4" - 5" tall .
