NY: Knopf, 1936. First edition. One of 333 copies printed on Nihon Japan vellum. Signed by the author at the limitation page. This collection of six essays is said by the author to be of "little interest for people under forty years of age," positing her literary engagement with the Great War to be rigorously and singularly generational. Full blue cloth over boards with stamped gilt motif on the cover, gilt titling to spine, blue satin bookmark.T.e.g. Light rubbing to corners, else near fine. Bookplate of Estelle Doheny.
