Underwood, evangelist, educator, author, translator, social worker, and organizer, from his arrival in Inchon in 1885, just as Korea was emerging from her centuries as the 'Hermit Kingdom', until his untimely death in Seoul at the age of 57. Illustrated with 15 black-&-white plates. Index appended.
