About This Item

The indepth story of British Columbia's Union Steamship Company from 1920-1958. All the ships and all the personnel are included in the company's story, told in great detail by Arthur Twigg, who worked in the Purser's office aboard every ship in the fleet that plied the rugged coast between 1942 and 1950. He interviewed more than 170 personnel over a 5-year research period and collected well over 1,000 photos, more than 400 of which are included in this book.

Front endpaper photo of S.S. Lady Evelyn and S.S. Lady Cecilia almost side-by-side; taken from Prospect Point. Rear endpapers show S.S. Coquitlam at Morgan's Camp, Queen Charlotte Islands.

A heavy book and will require extra postage.

About Stillman Books

After closing my most recent bookstore in White Rock, B.C., I have decided to sell strictly online for the foreseeable future. My inventory is heavy on
children's and other illustrated books, along with aviation, sea and naval and other categories. I'm still plugging along after 42 years of book-selling.
