First Edition" stated on copyright page; printing code to same page indicates August 1945 printing date (H-U). Black cloth with minor edgewear and soil, and lightly bumped spine ends. Bright gilt lettering. Light green topstain to text block. Jacket in new archival mylar sleeve is heavily creased and chipped/torn; light soil and toning; flaps not clipped. Binding sound, text with minor pen marks to the index pages only. Interior lightly toned. B/w illustrations. Prev owner name to ffep. No stickers or stamps. Not ex-library.
