Brooklyn, N.Y.: Traders Press, 1969. Limited Edition. Full Leather. Fine. 27 pp. B/w ills. Tiny book has gilt lettering on tiny spine, outline of a gentleman on front in gilt. Handmade paper eps. 1969 intro by Jack R. Levien to this 1888 work on type size. This is #53 of 500 copies. Set in 6 point on 9 Optima type, it was "reduced to 4 point on 6 (or with 2 points leading.) Optima was designed by Herman Zapf. I (Levien) set up the repros and made the little designs. Then Willis MacDonald Co, N.Y., printed the book offset. The paper is Olin's Waylite. This bright opaque sheet adds legibility to small letters...T.C. Woolnough & Son, Ltd. in London bound these sheets by hand with great care and skill." This perfect little treasure is jacketed in tan tissue.
