A hefty Modern Library reprint edition offering the three novels by John Dos Passos, collectively known as "U.S.A." (trilogy) in a single volume and first published together in 1938. The works are notable, among other things, for being written from multiple perspectives. --- In Toledano spine G5 / rust cloth / gilt titling & ML torchbearer on black cover & spine blocks / black topstain / blank GA endpapers / jacket style Gd / verso advertises 371 titles in ML catalog. Likely published c.1954 (though 1937 date appears in book). ML #G44.1. --- Loosened front and rear hinges have been repaired on this item; with chafing to cloth at spine ends and mild age-toning to leaves, else an unmarked, sound copy. Fair-only, unpriced dust jacket with numerous tears and chips, detached (but present) rear flap & nearly detached front flap; otherwise mostly intact, bright and protected in new removable mylar wrapper. (NOTE: Due to the weight of this item, extra shipping charges may be requested for shipments beyond the U.S.) ; Octavo - 8 to 9 in. tall; viii, 415, viii, 473, viii, 561 pages .
