About This Item
Exeter, England: H. Ludec's Steam Printing works, 1884. Presumed first edition. Paperback. Very Good +. 194pp. Duodecimo [18 cm] Printed wrappers, with A facsimile from the Book of Abraham printed on the rear wrapper. No illustrations precede the text. With both American and English prefaces. Small loss from the top fore-edge corner of the rear wrap; rust stains surrounding the staples in the inside margins of the preliminary pages. [Flake 4364? 18 cm variant?]. Possibly the most vitriolic and anti-Mormon book ever issued in the 19th Century, by a self-proclaimed "ex-Mormon priest." The lurid covers contain all manner of secret signs and symbols of Mormons and free-masons.
Uncommonly nice copy of this fragile work.
