Jaan Vahtra (1882-1947) was the leader of the 1923 found Estonian Artists' Group of Cubism and Constructivism.
August Jakobson (1904-1963) won the literary award of the Loodus publishing-house with this work. He was the head of the Estonian Writer's Union between 1939-1940 and 1944-1946.
