cat40a. London: Pearson, 1895. First edition. Red cloth, spine and front cover lettered in black. Frontispiece & 15 plates by Piffard. Presumed to be the third of three known bindings; the first binding is in pictorial cloth, and the second binding has gilt lettering on the spine. Old stain to back cover, but otherwise this is a clean, very good copy. Fantastic adventures of a son of Odin, many times reincarnated. Locke, Spectrum of Fantasy I, pg. 98.
