England, 1850. Very good. Minor toning, one small spot of discoloration to scrap on front.. A fine lace paper Valentine featuring embossed Victorian gilt scrap of Cupid, a hand-colored lithographed image of a couple inside, and a very delicate silk mesh window. Two printed stanzas of verse inside, with early ink manuscript below reading, "Dear Ada As sure as grapes Grow on the vine So sure you are my Valentine". 12mo sized bifolium measuring approx. 5.5" by 3.75
