B/w frontis with tissue guard and many wood engraved plates and in-text illustrations. Publishers original red decorated cloth boards stamped in black, gilt and blind with oval picture of camel laid-on to front. Corners, spine ends and spine edges rubbed. Back hinge splitting. Dark brown endpapers. Content generally clean with the occasional finger mark. Some hand written ink notes to margin of page 77 and ink cross-reference added to page 100. Text block edge dusty. Previous owners name and date 1876 to front endpaper. Not ex-library. 224 pp. All books are individually described. All overseas orders are sent airmail by Royal Mail International Tracked.
