About This Item
Spartinsburg, SC : Honoribus Press, 1986 Honoribus Press, Spartinsburg, SC. 1986. Softcover/Trade Wraps. First Edition Thus. Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for bookstore stamps on inner rear wrap. Book Condition: Good; crease on front wrap; crease to spine; rubbing to wrap surfaces. No DJ. Pictorial Wraps. Wrap is creased in front and on spine. 270 pp 12mo. This book is based on the personal diary of CPT Hall of the Advisor Team 100, Military Assistance Command-Vietnam and of his part in the transition fron July 1966 to July 1967 in III Corps and the Rung Sat Special Zone in Vietnam. . This is a different account of one man's tour in Vietnam as a member of the "Armed Peace Corps". The life of an advisor in Vietnam has not been told and it certainly is nothing like what is on TV and in the movies. This book will tell you how much the Americans cared, how hard they worked, the positive things they tried to do to make the lives of the poor Vietnamese villagers better, and the sheer hope and effort they poured into trying to help the Vietnamese preserve their freedom. A clean presentable book.
