Reviews

On Apr 3 2020, a reader said:
Sundown Peters found a dead man in the foot hills, and when he brought him into town was accused of murdering the man. The ones doing the accusing were the "gun-toughs" who ran the town. From that point the novel speeds up even more as Peters is hunted, and how he gets out of the frame up makes for one of the most exciting, and surprising, westerns you've ever read. The Vanishing Gun-Slinger is just another of the fantastic westerns by William Colt MacDonald, a man who is underappreciated these days by the western reading public. His novels are entertaining, finely written in flowing prose, understandable, logical, just plain old good reading anyone who loves to read would enjoy whether you are a fanatic western fan or not.
