Brown, book plate with Latin motto "Floreat Majestas" and rampant lion. Previous owner's name on title page "J M Brown / Dunedin / 1874". Previous owner's rubber stamp with same rampant lion design on blank page at rear. Some rubbing and moderate marks to boards. Overall quite a nice copy of this title. ; viii, [2], 341, [3 (blank)] pages + 16 pages advertisements. Frontispiece (portrait of Sir Thomas Browne) within the pagination. Title page vignette. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spine and front board. Black border on both boards. Page dimensions: 178 x 118mm.
