Paris: Printed by Henry Maillet, under the Direction of Henry Babou, 1945. The first issue of this periodical. Pictorial wrappers, quarto, original glassine (chipped). Some modest wear to edges, very short tears to the overhanging margin of one plate, a clean very good copy. Contributions by Paul Valéry, Albert Camus, Jacques Prévert; art by Gilioli, Fautrier, Garnier, Villon, & Dum. There were three issues published (1945-46), of which this is the first. This is Exemplaire No. 39 of the Série Luxe. The Noel Dum illustration is double-page, in color, and with a short text by Paul Eluard.
