Written by judge, Unitarian minister, law professor, and many times unsuccessful candidate for public office in Connecticut, California and New Hampshire. Exposition of political principles of the Catholic Church with an eye towards countering John F. Kennedy's candidacy for the presidency. He is said to have telegraphed Pope John XXIII to ask whether Kennedy owed political allegiance to the United States or to the Vatican, since by Levitt's research there were 150 principles of the Catholic Church that opposed the US constitution. There is no record of a reply. #01078.
