London: Collins, 2013. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover in Slipcase. As New/As New. Gillmor, Richard (Dustjacket). A particularly attractive copy of this beautiful edition - one of a very small number reserved exclusively for contributors and lettered. 50 numbered copies were made available for sale to subscribers. Full leather gilt with the New Naturalist monogram to the upper cover, two raised bands and gilt titles at the spine. pp. xii, 516, illustrated with colour photographs and diagrams. Tipped-in limitation plate to the front endpaper which is signed by the author and, in addition, the traditional New Naturalist dustjacket is provided and has been signed directly by its artist and designer, Robert Gillmor. This copy is lettered "E" and was reserved for the late British botanist and New Naturalist series co-editor, Professor Richard G. West, with his printed name-plate fixed to the front paste-down. As New condition in dustjacket and slipcase. Provenance: from the library of Professor Richard Gilbert West.
