London, John W. Parker, 1855. Hardback, approx 7 x 4 inches. In light brown polished calf leather fine binding by “Bartlett & Co. Boston.” Decorative gilt paneled boards, dentelles, gilt lettering to brown leather spine labels, raised banding and extensive gilt decoration to spine, marbled endpapers, top page edges gilt. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to edges. Corners bumped, slightly chipped at top ends. Small chip to top rear spine corner/rear board. Small mark to front. Some mild foxing to endpapers. Some minor darkening to title page. Pages clean and tight throughout. Else a clean and tight copy. 256pp. Illustrated with a b&w portrait vignette to tile page. Decorative chapter headers and tailpieces.
