About This Item
Two volumes. Cream-colored cloth boards made to resemble vellum. Gilt decoration on front and spine. There is discoloration (foxing) to the covers, but not on the spines. Top edge is gilt, others somewhat darkened with age. Inside, very good condition. Pretty pastedowns, strong hinges with no cracks. Owner's name lightly written on front free endpaper. The red marker ribbons survive, although one has become detached. The text is clean and clear. The illustrations are the real stars, some by Childe Hassam. Beautiful little color, Impressionistic vignettes protected by titled tissue paper. A very nice set of volumes. Each measures 5 x 7.25 inches.
