London: W.H. Allen, 1957. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. N/a. 317pp. 1957. 1st. 8vo. A lovely, clean, tight very good copy in very good minus wrapper. A biographical novel which charts the life of Modigliani and the two main women in his life. Gilt embossed title to the spine. Charming original wrapper - not price-clipped. A light bump to the head of the spine. Light fading to one corner at the head of the spine where the wrapper is chipped. One corner bumped. The wrapper is chipped to one corner at the head of the spine with slight loss of the letter 'V'. A couple of niks to the head of the spine of the wrapper. Small or slight chips to the four corners of the wrapper. Several short tears to the wrapper - now expertly repaired - the largest being around 6mm in length. A well preserved very good copy in very good minus wrapper.
