Gilt title on Black ground in 2nd compartment with gilt decoration filling the others. Endpapers and All page edges Marbles (combed pattern). 308 pages, 760g, 8 1/2" tall. Some edge wear to leathers with 3 corners and top of spine worn. Hinges sound & text block firm. No inscriptions. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

The Vicar of Wakefield (with Twelve Illustrations in Permanent Photography from Pictures by Eminent British Artists) The illustrated plates are photos glued to a plate and all have warped to some degree (perhaps from the glue) the surrounding pages are flat so it must be something to do with the plates. The photos themselves are generally more flat and on a pleasing sepia tone.
