Both finely printed at the Stamperia Voldonega by Martino Mandersteig. The first volume is limited to 500 copies this copy unnumbered. The second volume is limited to 550 copies our copy numbered 458. Volume two with minor bump at top corner, else fine. Volume one is fine. Both volumes fully illustrated with color plates. Both books in original slipcase, near fine. Victor Karl Hammer (1882-1967), painter, sculptor, printer and typographer. Engravings. ÒHammer was an artist of remarkable talents and skills: although his primary metier was painting, usually in tempera on gesso panels, and chirfly portraiture, he was also a master of the wood-cut, the mezzotint, and the metal engraving...
