First Edition; Demy 4to; pp. xviii, 273; b/w. frontispiece, `29 half-tone plates, 81illustrations in text, bound in half blue morocco over marbled boards, title lettered in gilt on spine, top edge gilt, bookplate of John Wilton Collings (artist George Perrottet) on front endpaper, inscribed by author in pencil on title page, front hinge a little weak, some mild foxing, still a good tight copy.
